Asianet announced the winners of 18th Asianet Film Awards 2016. Asianet distributed the awards to winners in a grand event held on 7th February 2016 at Angamali, Kochin. Popular Malayalam Actor Prithviraj selected as the Best Actor for his movie Ennu Ninte Moideen. The Movie Ennu Ninte Moideen became the Best Movie. Popular Malayalam Singer Yesudas Awarded won the Lifetime Achievement Award. Malayalam Actress Parvathiwon the Best Actress Award for her Movies Ennu Ninte Moideen and Charlie.
Malayalam New face Director Alphonse Putharen Won the Best Director Award for his mega hit Movie Premam. at the same time Malayalam New face Actor Nivin Pauly became the Popular Actor award for the same movie Premam. This movie won total 6 Awards including Best Director and popular Actor Awards.
